According to ANEEL, the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency, hydroelectric power stations are classified as follows: Small Hydropower Plants (SHP): defined as having an installed capacity of between 1 MW and 30 MW; and Large Hydropower Plants (LHP): defined as having an installed capacity of over 30 MW.

Brennand Investimentos has two LHPs (large hydropower plants) and five SHPs (small hydropower plants) in operation, with a total installed capacity of 155 MW. Together these plants generate an average of around 1 million MWh of clean energy per year, equivalent to the average consumption of 212 thousand Brazilian families. The Company also has eight hydro projects under development in Mato Grosso State, totaling 91 MW.

Brennand Investimentos has in recent years been investing in the power of the wind and in clean, renewable energy. The Company began with a wind power complex of eight wind farms and a 500 kV transmission system, comprising the 360 MVA Arizona Substation and the 41km Arizona Sobradinho transmission line. Five wind farms are currently in operation.

In 2022, two new wind farms began operation, expanding the installed wind power capacity to 173 MW. The five wind farms will generate around 726 thousand MWh per year, which is equivalent to the average consumption of 160 thousand Brazilian families.
